Cornale will be a largely phonetic language; speak it as it is written according to the following phonology.

Vowels:

  • a – [a]
  • e – [e]
  • ê – [ɛ]
  • é – [ʌ]
  • i – [i]
  • o – [o]
  • ô – [ɔ]
  • u – [u]
  • û – [y]
  • y – [i]*

Consonants:

  • b – [b]
  • c – [tʃ]
  • ç – [ð/θ]
  • d – [d]
  • f – [f]*
  • g – [dʒ]
  • j – [j]
  • k – [k]
  • l – [l]
  • m – [m]
  • n – [n]
  • ñ – [ɲ]
  • p – [p]
  • r – [ʁ]
  • s – [s]
  • ş – [ʃ]
  • t – [t]
  • v – [v]
  • w – [w]
  • z – [ʒ/z]
